Why We’re Starting a Self-Portrait Studio
The idea for the self-portrait studio didn’t start with a grand vision, it started with an opportunity. My friend, who runs a wedding and events business, had high-end cameras, professional lighting, and extra space. As we looked at this setup, we saw the potential for something more. That’s when we decided to transform a 10×10 space into an upscale self-portrait studio, and while it’s still taking shape, our vision is becoming clearer.
But we didn’t want it to be just another automated photo booth. Instead of an auto-clicker, we chose a more hands-on, personalized experience, allowing clients to control their shots in a refined, professional setting. It’s a space designed for those who want more than just a quick selfie but instead want something polished, expressive, and truly theirs.
Right now, it’s a mix of raw potential and creative planning as the walls go up, flooring upgrades, lighting adjustments, and details coming together.

But even in this unfinished state, the excitement is real. This isn’t just about using equipment, it’s a chance to create a unique experience. We see the potential, a vision of success that goes beyond filling time. It’s about creating a space where creativity and confidence meet.
Our motto: Make Camera Shy An Old Story.
